Great Eastern Add Another Feather To Its Cap
Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad was announced as the recipient for Brand Laureate
2008 / 2009 – Best Brands in Services Life Insurance under the Corporate Branding category by the
Asia Pacific Brands Foundation. The award honours brands that have stood the test of time,
maintained their distinction and quality, stayed relevant through innovation and are iconic brands
in their own right.

Great Eastern Plays Its Part To Enhance English Language
ChildrenCare charity project together with Persatuan Siswazah Malaysia organised ‘Fun & Easy
Learning English’ competition between selected charity homes across the country. Eight homes from
Pulau Pinang, Pahang and Kedah as well as from the Klang Valley was at Menara Great Eastern, Kuala
Lumpur vying for the champion grand prize of RM2,000.00. Children were tested with their general
knowledge related to various topics such as Malaysian history, geography, cultural and family
relationships. For English language competencies, various aspects of this enriching language
like grammar, spelling, acronyms, gerunds and part of speech were also part of the quiz questions.
The 1-day event not only cultivated a fun and exciting learning environment but also created bonding
among the children from different homes.
