ChildrenCare ‘Tapping Talent In Music’ With 100 Students
Great Eastern ChildrenCare together with Yamaha Music Malaysia provided a platform for one hundred
music students of six secondary schools to explore their flair for music through ‘ChildrenCare
Tapping Talent In Music’ held at the Great Eastern Mall on 17 and 18 November 2009. The 2-day event
received an overwhelming respond, as most of the students are able to spend the final week with
fulfilling activities. By given the opportunity to be part of the music workshop to pick up musical
skills, the students were exposed to music in an interactive manner as they got to observe the actual
musical instruments such as Yamaha Electone, digital drums and a variety of guitars and also
introduction lesson taught by Yamaha instructors. One of the highlights for the day is a special
music performance by two talented students from Yamaha Academy of Arts & Music, Koay Ron Nard and
Low Zhi Xin.
