Great Eastern 'Life is great!' Across Borders Concert Recital

Great Eastern hosted the 7th 'Life is great!' Across Borders Concert Recital via our in-house charity programme, ChildrenCare. Great Eastern sponsored a total sum of RM 20,000 for the event which was held in collaboration with Operafest Children's Choir under the guidance of Mrs Kam Sun-Yoke.Children from 5 homes namely Rumah Charis, House of Joy, Gurpuri Foundation, Rumah Faith and Compassion Home were invited to enjoy the performance at The Royal Lake Club Banquet Hall. More than 100 guests attended the concert.

2nd Blood Donation Drive

The 2nd Blood Donation Drive held at the lobby of Menara Great Eastern over a 2-day period was a successful affair. Organized by The National Blood Bank, this charity drive saw a total of 177 donors from Great Eastern and OAC staff, agents and public who registered.

The Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award - APEA

Great Eastern was presented the Responsible Entrepreneurship Award by Datuk Noh Omar, Minister of Entrepreneur & Cooperative Development at a ceremony held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The company was awarded for contribution to its corporate social responsibility role in the form of scholarship offerings and ChildrenCare. Mr Koh Yaw Hui, Chief Executive Office of Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad accepted the award on behalf of Great Eastern.

Official Opening of Wisma Great Eastern, Penang

Wisma Great Eastern Penang's opening was officiated by Chairman of Great Eastern Holdings Limited, Mrs Fang Ai Lian. Located on Lebuh Light, this heritage building is known as the 'jewel'. More than 300 attendees consisting Senior Management Team from Singapore and Malaysia, members of the field force, policyholders, media and staff graced the ceremony.
